Katie Tilden: I’ve been working in journalism, communications, marketing and engagement for more than 17 years. I started working as a real estate journalist for a daily newspaper before moving into the newsroom. As a real estate journalist I was responsible for a weekly magazine style lift out featuring properties for sale and other real estate and property trends.

Angela Rodgers: Honoured to be here, Haris! Thank you so much for the invite. I’ll start with where I am now… I’m an Australian copywriter, specialising in website copy and ghostblogging. But I have a few consulting clients who also use my services for email marketing, lead magnets, and other bits and pieces.

The Advice My Father Gave Me

My father is a retired man. He is a
great man. Having achieved a lot under
very difficult circumstances.

He moved away from home at 15 years of
age, leaving behind his home village
because of poverty and the wish to escape
it. At first, he moved to Slovenia, which
was part of former Yugoslavia.

But to him, it was still a foreign country
because he spoke no Slovenian. After a
couple years, he moved to Germany, as it
offered even more opportunity. He was
determined to make his dream happen.
